MAC - 'Vegas Volt'

MAC 'Vegas Volt'' £15

Whenever I'm online, nine times out of ten I end up on the MAC website lusting after a lipstick or eyeshadow and this has been going on for about a year now guys, it was tragic. So finally, after being paid  from my job (eee!) I decided to buy a couple of lipsticks just to start off my collection and see if I like them or not!

The colour I'm wearing here is 'Vegas Volt' and I bought this because I love wearing peach on my lips as I feel it brightens up my face and plus, I've just got back from my holiday so I thought this would look nice with a tan - I wasn't wrong! On the website it is described as a 'Full Power Coral' and I don't disagree at all. The colour is bright but not luminous on my lips which makes this perfect for spring or summer!

I love the formula as it's quite a matte finish but very creamy on the lips and doesn't dry them out at all which is a must for me as I always have dry lips (if anyone wants to suggest a good lip balm please do!)

So my first impressions of MAC lipsticks are so high that as soon as I woke up this morning I ordered another two from the website which are more suited to autumn/winter and I can't wait for them to arrive! Red lips for this autumn winter are a go go!

I hope you've enjoyed this post, I'm sorry the lighting on the photos isn't that great, I'm still working on a good place to take photos where the natural lighting is good!
Please let me know what you want to see more of!

See you soon! xx

I'm going to University!

So it's taken 2 days for it to sink in and I still don't think it as full but I'M GOING TO MY DREAM UNIVERSITY IN 5 WEEKS!

So that's out of my system... Hurrah!

Wednesday night I couldn't sleep, I was waking up at least 4 times an hour and having a blurry-eyed check of the time and of UCAS before going back to sleep.

Finally at a more reasonable time of 7:30 I finally managed to get onto UCAS and saw...

And I burst into tears and couldn't speak and my Mum thought it was bad news due to my crying so I pointed at the screen and she burst into tears too! It was an odd but funny moment as we were both sobbing and laughing at the same time.

I am so excited to be going to my firm choice of university and can't wait to start learning and developing skills for my future career path, alongside making new friends and partying hard of course! I hope university is my chance to explore who I really am without worrying what anyone else thinks, my chance to become independent and learn how to live on my own (which actually doesn't sound too scary!). I'm ready to move on to bigger and better things and I'm so so excited to have been given the opportunity to do so.

Have any of my readers had their A level results? How did you get on? What's your degree choice or future career path?
Let me know!

Love Katie xx

Holiday OOTD #1 | Beautiful Scenery | Sunburn

Oh hey!
So on Sunday we decided to visit 'The Lizard' in Cornwall as there was meant to be an RNLI lifeboat open day with a demonstration of rescuing someone out at sea using the lifeboat and a navy helicopter! I thought I'd wear something comfortable but not just shorts and a top as I thought there may be some shops to have a little browse around.

 Black vest: Newlook
White Skirt: Riverisland
Watch: Michael Kors
Black Bag: Primark
And I wore some black sandals too!

Sorry the photos were taken only on my iPhone 5, the battery on my Canon ran out and I'd stupidly forgotten my charger, but I'm going to visit a camera shop in one of the larger towns and buy a replacement battery!

We had a little look around the little shops in the town and then walked along the coastal path along the most southerly coastline of the United Kingdom for about 3 miles until we reached the RNLI lifeboat station.
The view along the path was amazing, we even saw a hidden beach that was empty, might visit there one day and enjoy the peace of no tourists!
It was at the lifeboat station that I realised that the breeze had masked the heat of the sun and my back was red raw :(
Two days later it is still SO sore. :( biggest mistake! I should know better, I won't be forgetting sun cream again!

We found a spot on a hill near the cliff edge to watch the demonstration and enjoyed a scone with jam and Cornish clotted cream, yum! Again, the photos I took of the demonstration are pretty rubbish because they were only taken on my phone but you get the idea!

It was amazing and the work that all the team do is amazing, plus that are volunteers and do it out of the kindness of their hearts, amazing!

Well, I'll have another outfit post soon (with better photos) and I hope you've enjoyed a little snippet of my holiday so far!
Beach day today and I'll definitely be sat in the beach tent reading my book out of the sun!!

See you all soon, hope you're having a nice week! Xx
